hoo boy this video makes me realize how little i know about Vietnamese
but more importantly . . .
my dialect does sound kind of funny ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
#like how the kansai dialect is considered like... uh... the ''country bumpkins'' of japan#or the southern twang in the us#imo the ''z'' sound for certain words in the northern dialect sounds pretty#but the ''y'' sound that the southern dialect replaces it with sounds so different#central vietnamese is a combination of the two i think. we borrow heavily from the southern dialect but also take some things from the-#-northern dialect#anyways it'll be really funny to come out of vietnamese courses speaking a funny little accent lol#i suppose i do have a noticeable english accent when i speak viet tho lol#also also fun fact all songs are sung in northern dialect#my family speaks central dialect but when the karaoke comes on you can hear the ''z'' and all the other fun northern dialect sounds#also this explains why so many viet phrases are so LONG compared to english#the grammar is easier to memorize i think lol but boy do i have to get used to saying stuff#lol#mun rambles
